Why am I being charged in increments of $5, $10 or $20?

Balance Auto Update Plan

In some locations, you'll be asked to choose a Balance Auto Update Plan before you start your ride. This plan allows you to add a preset amount of ride credits to your account, such as $5, $10, or $20. These credits are automatically applied to your future rides. The amount you select will be charged to your default payment method.

If you'd like to turn off the automatic reload for future credits, you can easily do this in the app:

1. Go to the Payment section.
2. Switch off Auto-Pay to stop any upcoming automatic recharges.
NOTE: Some markets this is a requirement and you will be unable to switch off Auto-Pay to ride

Requesting a Refund

If you have remaining credits on your Bird account that you don’t plan to use, we’re here to help! You can request a refund within 60 days of your transaction date by messaging our support team. Simply fill out the support form here.
