We apologize that you had a negative experience.
The most common reasons for not being able to end rides are:
You are in a no parking zone
Cities ask us to place no parking zones in different areas, to reduce clutter and chaos. These are visible in the Bird app and you can see more details by tapping on those areas on the map. Please exit the no parking zone and you will be able to end your ride. We know this can be frustrating. Please contact us if exiting the no parking zone took you a long time and we can see how much money we can credit back to you. You can reach out to support by clicking the 'Submit a request/issue' link below and fill out the form related to your issue.
You are not in a parking spot
In some cities, riders must park inside dedicated parking spots, per city regulations. Those are marked in the Bird app with a “P” symbol on the map. If you are inside a parking spot but still cannot end your ride, there might be a GPS location issue and we apologize. We know this can be frustrating. Please reach out to support by clicking the 'Submit a request/issue' link below and fill out the form related to your issue and we can see how much money we can credit back to you.
Your phone has a bad Internet connection
This is unfortunately out of our control. What sometimes helps is to turn on Airplane mode and then turn it off again after a few seconds, so your phone can try to establish a new connection. If you weren’t able to end your ride because of connectivity issues, please reach out to support by clicking the 'Submit a request/issue' link below and fill out the form related to your issue and we can see how much money we can credit back to you.
