What’s a VAT number?
A VAT is the license number for registered independent contractors in Europe. Each country may have a different style of VAT. If you want to become a Flyer in Austria, Belgium, or France, you’ll need to register for a VAT number.
Austria
If you want to become a Flyer in Austria, you’ll need a GISA number. Bird requires all Flyers in Austria to have a GISA number for tax and regulatory purposes. If you don’t have a GISA number and want to become a Flyer, you’ll need to register for one by yourself.
Belgium
If you want to become a Flyer in Belgium, you’ll need a BTW number. Bird requires all Flyers in Belgium to have a BTW number for tax and regulatory purposes. If you don’t have a BTW number and want to become a Flyer, you’ll need to register for one by yourself.
France
If you want to become a Flyer in France, you’ll need a SIRET number. Bird requires all Flyers in France to have a SIRET number for tax and regulatory purposes. If you don’t have a SIRET number and want to become a Flyer, you’ll need to register for one through the Chambre de Commerce.
