How do I ride my vehicle?
Use your app to scan the QR code on your rental and start your ride. Be sure to lock your rental vehicle (both in the app and by using the physical lock provided) when you are done riding.
Where can I ride?
You can ride wherever personal, micro-mobility vehicles like Birds are allowed in your city. City rules apply.
Per Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines, you may NOT transport our vehicles on an airplane.
How fast does my vehicle go?
Speed depends on factors like street grade and rider weight.
How far can it go on a full charge?
While range depends on factors like street grade, e-scooter model and rider weight, the max range is around 18.5 miles on a full charge.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
We strongly encourage you to wear helmets and to follow local rules and regulations pertaining to riding micro-mobility vehicles.
Can I still rent a shared vehicle?
Yes, you can still use our app to rent shared vehicles. The standard fees apply.
How can someone tell the difference between a personal rental vehicle and a shared vehicle?
The sleeve on the neck of the vehicle is black with “Bird” in white and it will have “personal rental” messaging on the top of the vehicle. Personal rental vehicles do not appear in the app as available to rent. If someone tries to scan a personal rental they will receive a message stating the vehicle is not available.
